A tooth, as part of the dentition, fulfils its chewing and aesthetic function fully when its shape, size and position are preserved.
A tooth does not grow back — nor does a part destroyed by decay. We rarely notice the loss of a single tooth functionally; we simply have an unsightly gap in our mouth. Yet with the loss of each tooth, we gradually lose the chewing capacity of the entire masticatory system. That is why it is important to prevent these conditions, minimise the extent of damage, and restore function and aesthetics to the dentition.
In this spirit, we provide dental procedures in the fields of aesthetic, restorative, prosthetic and surgical dentistry, with a strong emphasis on prevention.
Preventive Dentistry
This includes initial examinations, preventive check-ups, consultations, and X-ray imaging — digital radiography, intraoral images, and panoramic X-rays. This allows us to detect the early stages of oral conditions — tooth decay, gum and periodontal disease, and orthodontic irregularities (crooked teeth) — minimizing the long-term consequences of these conditions. An integral part of prevention is professional dental hygiene: periodontal examination, removal of plaque and tartar, air polishing, fluoride treatment, and oral hygiene instruction and brushing technique training.
Restorative Dentistry
We treat tooth decay with fillings, respecting the principles of aesthetic dentistry. Using highly aesthetic materials, we restore the crown of the tooth and ensure an appropriate shape and appearance.
Endodontics
For deep cavities we perform root canal treatment. Under local anaesthesia we remove the dental nerve, shape the root canals, and complete the root filling.
Prosthodontics
Using crowns, bridges, aesthetic veneers and removable dentures, we restore the chewing function of the teeth and the entire masticatory system. From an aesthetic standpoint, we give teeth the correct shape, size and colour.
Oral Surgery
We extract roots and teeth with a poor prognosis; a missing tooth can be replaced with an implant.
Cosmetic Dentistry
We also place strong emphasis on aesthetics — whether it is in-office whitening, where results are visible after the very first visit, or take-home whitening using custom whitening trays worn overnight. Using a special technique, we can remove unsightly chalky-white spots from the front surfaces of teeth. With all-ceramic or composite veneers, we can "straighten" your teeth even without braces.
